AI Results Tracker

Cited, mentioned, found and missing — engines, excerpts and how to read AI checks without confusion.

The screen shows standardized AI checks for the project keywords. The main action is “AI check”. The navigation may also use the label “AI Tracker”.

Four statuses (strongest to weakest)

These are distinct signals in an AI answer — not the same thing. “Found” comes from the model’s search results; “cited” from the sources in the answer. No extra charge: both are read from the same check.

Cited (citation)
The AI uses the site as a source — a link, “Sources”, a footnote or a URL. Example: “According to homebulgaria.bg …” or the domain is in the list of sources. The strongest signal.
Mentioned (mention)
The AI says the brand/site name in the text but does not give it as a source. Example: “Good options are Praktiker, Mr. Bricolage and HomeBulgaria.” — with no link to the site.
Found
Your page appears in the model’s search results, but is not cited in the answer. Discoverability without citation — the model “sees” you but picks another source.
Missing
In this specific check the AI does not mention the brand, cite the site, or find it in search results.

Preparation

  1. 1
    Set the AI policy

Choose frequency, scope and LLM engines (ChatGPT / Gemini).

  2. 2
    With selected scope, tag keywords

    Keywords → “Tag for LLM”.

  3. 3
Check the wallet and the estimate

AI actions draw from the subscription limit. Cited / mentioned / found come from the same answer — no extra charge for the statuses.

Workflow

  1. 1
    Click “AI check”

Wait for it to finish without running a duplicate.

  2. 2
    Review the results

Filter by engine/status and open the “Excerpt”.

  3. 3
    Hover over the status

The tooltip repeats the difference between cited / mentioned / found / missing.

“How to read the AI results”

cited
The AI uses the site as a source (link / Sources / URL). The strongest signal.
mentioned
The brand is named in the text, with no source/link.
found
The domain is in the model’s search results, without a citation in the answer.
missing
No mention, citation, or search-result hit in this check.
Excerpt
Part of the answer that gives context to the status. For more — hover over the cell (citations and found domains).

Engines

ChatGPT
A separate LLM check.
Gemini
A separate LLM check.
Google AI Overview
Comes from the Google SERP snapshot, not from a ChatGPT/Gemini prompt.

“How to improve your AI visibility”

  • Answer the intent clearly right at the start of the page.
  • Use verifiable facts, authorship and a current date.
  • Keep a consistent brand name and entity information.
  • Create comparisons, definitions and FAQs when they are useful to the person.
  • Earn independent mentions and citations from reliable sources.
  • Make sure the page is accessible, indexable and easy to cite.

Questions & answers

Why is the table empty?

There is no completed check, selected scope has no tagged keywords, there are no engines or the policy is “Off”.

Which frequency should I choose?

Weekly or on-demand is a practical start. Daily is for a small critical core.

What is the difference between “mentioned” and “cited”?

Mentioned = the AI says the brand/site name in the text without giving it as a source. Cited = the AI uses the site as a source (link, Sources, URL). Citation is the stronger signal.

What does “found” mean?

The site appears in the model’s search results, but is not cited in the answer. Weaker than cited/mentioned; it shows discoverability without citation.

Is “mentioned” better than “cited”?

No. Cited is stronger: the AI relies on your content. Mentioned is still brand visibility, but without a source. Found is weaker still: seen in search, not used.

Do I pay separately for mentioned, cited and found?

No. All three are read from the same AI answer during the check. There is no extra charge for the statuses.
